Heyyy! I’m Zanaiah!
I am a crochet artist who loves bringing concepts to life! I founded Chunky Crochets in summer 2024, when I had way too much free time on my hands. I had been crocheting for hundreds of hours each year, so I figured it was the perfect time to turn my passion into a small business!

I was born and raised in Augusta, GA! In May 2025, I graduated from the University of Miami (proud ‘cane over here). I love crocheting for my friends, family, classmates and sorors of DST! Spending hours to create a project for someone is one of my ways of showing love.

Out of all of my projects, I really loved making crochet ruffle hats for my neos (younger sorority sisters)! I also made a very cute red velvet cupcake plushie. It was so fun to make and very delicious looking!

Making any crochet project from beginning to end is slow and high-rewarding. From having the idea to crafting, to blocking, to picking out a show to watch while I work, it’s a very fulfilling process. I love the final product, but I also love “the climb!”
My Approach
Crochet is an art! An art that is physically demanding and time consuming in the best ways! For the sake of being able to crochet for many years to come, I take on two types of crochet projects:
One of One
These are individual projects that I make from a creative burst! Some days, I make beautiful blankets, other days I make intricate plushies. There is only one of each!
Many to Come
“Many to Come” items are items that I make in large batches. Whether they are party favors, crossing gifts, or classroom tokens, these items are plentiful!
